About Things to Do in London

An independent guide that helps you choose the right London tours, tickets and day trips, and book them without surprises.

Who we are

Things to Do in London is written by the Things to Do in London editorial team. We are not a tour company and we don't sell tours ourselves. We compare what GetYourGuide offers for London and send you to the tour that fits.

How we pick tours

  • Live data. Price, length, group size, meeting point and cancellation terms come from each tour's live page on GetYourGuide, not from memory.
  • Rating and reviews. We show the rating and the number of reviews as GetYourGuide shows them, never rounded up. We prefer a tour with many reviews over a perfect score from a few. Where there are only a few, we say "Few reviews so far".
  • Who sells it. When a place sells its own tickets, or is free, we say so first and name the seller: for example Historic Royal Palaces for the Tower of London, Royal Museums Greenwich for the Royal Observatory and the Cutty Sark, and Sky Garden for its free time slots. Then we say what the GetYourGuide options add.
  • Refunds, said plainly. A tour you cannot get your money back for is labelled "Non-refundable" and listed last, unless every ticket of that kind is non-refundable.
  • Low-rated tours left off. When a tour has a very low rating and the page has better options, we leave it out.

Where the facts come from

Tour prices, lengths and ratings come from GetYourGuide and were checked on 24 October 2026. Opening times, official ticket prices and travel times come from the official sites of the sights, museums and transport companies, linked on each page. Hotels were checked on Booking.com. Prices change, so the booking page always has the final word.

How the site makes money

Our affiliate disclosure, linked at the bottom of every page, explains this.
