How much time you get in Oxford

On a combined tour, Oxford is one stop of several, so expect a few hours at most. Only the Harry Potter trip states its time: a 1-hour guided walk and 1 hour free.

The other tours list a walking tour of Oxford but no set time. If you want a full day in Oxford, the train is the better choice.

Our day-trip guide compares every coach day trip from London, whoever runs it.

What you see in Oxford in a day

Most tours walk you past the colleges and through the old streets of the city centre. Going inside a college costs extra on every tour here.

The Harry Potter trip warns that colleges may close without notice. So treat a college visit as a bonus, not a promise.
